SPARTANBURG, S.C. – On a bright and sunny day in Spartanburg the Mount Olive Trojans ruined a pair of special moments for the Converse University seniors as they won 2-0 at newly renovated Fulp Field on Saturday afternoon.

Following a straight red card to Ashley Lindsey the Trojans regrouped and began to play a man down for the remainder of the game. Then in the 39
th minute of the contest the Trojans offense broke through a second time with a goal by Nya Baccelli.
Coming out of the halftime break the Valkyries faced an up hill climb to try and get back in the contest.
Hanna Chappell picked up a yellow card in the 69
th minute of the contest, while
Shelby McCutchen earned a card in the 86
th minute of the game. The Valkyries stood strong and shutout the Trojans offense in the second half, despite being outshot 12-1 in the second half.
