In the fall of 2024, Randy Loggins entered his fifth year as the Valkyries’ Deputy Director of Athletics. He joined the Converse athletic staff after spending 13 years at Tusculum University, where he held several positions, but most recently served as the Associate Athletic Director of Operations. 

As the Deputy AD, Loggins serves as a member of the senior athletics administration, providing supervision and oversight for all aspects of assigned sports programs, overseeing athletic facilities and transportation, and coordinating game day operations for home events. In addition, he currently teaches Student Success Seminar and serves as a member of the Converse University presidential search committee. 

Loggins, a 2006 Tusculum graduate, served as the business manager for the athletic department, overseeing the budgets for all 24 sponsored sports, general athletics, Media Relations, Cheerleading, Athletic Training, and Strength and Conditioning. He was the sport supervisor for eight varsity athletics teams, coordinated game day administration at all home events, coordinated all hiring paperwork for all new athletic employees and graduate assistants, and assisted with NCAA compliance, promotions and ticket sales.

Prior to becoming the Associate Director of Athletics for Operations, Loggins served Tusculum as the Assistant to the Athletic Director and then the Assistant Athletic Director. A former football student-athlete, Loggins was  a student assistant football coach, where he assisted with the defensive backs before stepping into an administrative role in 2007. 

Loggins has served on several campus committees, including advisor for the Pioneer Student-Athlete Advisory Council, Pioneers Preparing for Life, Community Standards Board, Student Success Team, Student Retention Committee, Students of Concern Committee, Barriers to Student Success Committee, Title IX Committee, Institution Crisis Management Team, Professionalism for Leadership Co-Curricular Team, and University's Quality Enhancement Plan. He was also a member of the Greene County Partnership Sports Council, board member of the Greene County YMCA and Board of Trustees Co-Chair at Asbury Methodist Church.

At the NCAA level he currently serves on the Division II Women’s Golf Committee and has served on the Division II Baseball Regional Advisory Committee and the Division II Football Regional Advisory Committee. During his tenure at Tusculum, he participated in several professional development programs, such as the NCAA Achieving Communication Success Workshop (2019), NCAA Pathway Program (2018-19), NCAA Dr. Charles Whitcomb Leadership Institute (2016-17), and the NCAA Division II Athletic Directors Association Mentoring program (2014-15). Loggins is a member of the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA), Minority Opportunities Athletic Association (MOAA), Collegiate Event and Facility Management Association (CEFMA) and National Association for Athletic Compliance (NAAC). In addition, he worked with the Greeneville Astros minor league baseball team and became a TSSAA high school football official in 2009.

Loggins and his wife Brook have two children, Kamara Grace and Tucker.
