Wynton Stephens is an Assistant Professor of Business Administration at Converse University with an emphasis in Sports Management. Wynton graduated with a BS in Sports Management from Averett University, where he was a four-year letterman and All-Conference tight end for Averett University's football team. After working as a Sports Director at a Greenville YMCA, Wynton acquired a Masters of Business Administration from Anderson University. While getting his Masters degree, he also worked at Anderson University as an Admissions Counselor and Athletic Liaison. From there, he went on to be an Academic Advisor at Greenville Technical College & USC Upstate. Then, he became the Director of the Center of Academic Excellence at Converse University. During his time with the CAE, he also taught adjunct classes and then became a full-time professor.
As a former student athlete, Wynton understands the dedication required for both academics and athletics and the unique balance that is necessary to be a high achiever in both arenas. Wynton is committed to supporting student athletes in their journeys to be a great student and a star athlete and is also motivated to uphold the stellar reputation that Converse University has achieved through excellence in both academics and athletics
