“We are pleased to recognize Danielle Stone as the department's NCAA Diversity and Inclusion Designee,” said Director of Athletics, Jenn Bell.  “She is a leader within our campus community, and we look forward to working with her as we all strive to improve in the area of diversity and inclusion. Danielle's commitment to our institution, desire to assist our department with incorporating our institution's diversity and inclusion plan, and overall knowledge of intercollegiate athletics will make her a great partner in our efforts to provide an inclusive environment within our department."

As the Diversity and Inclusion Designee, Stone will collaborate with the athletic department’s staff to incorporate the College’s plan for diversity and inclusion, while working to create inclusive environments for student-athletes and staff. She will also work with the College and Athletic Department to make sure decisions made benefit the student-athletes, by creating a more diverse atmosphere.

“I’m looking forward to a productive year on campus towards a more inclusive and inviting environment for all students and student-athletes,” said Stone.  “There is work to be done, and I’m appreciative for an opportunity to tackle this with the support of President Newkirk, Converse Athletics, and the Converse community.”
