Maria Belen Vendrell is in her first year as a graduate assistant coach at Converse University.
Vendrell is no stranger to Converse as she was a four-year member of the Valkyries tennis team. During her standout career, Vendrell became the first COSIDA Academic All-American in school history and was named the Murphy Osborne Award Winner for her work in the classroom. Vendrell is a two-time Elite 23-Award Winner from Conference Carolinas and was the NCAA Woman of the Year Nominee for Converse in 2022. On the court, Vendrell is a four-time All-Conference selection and holds the school record for singles wins in a career (30). Vendrell is second all-time in overall wins (69) and doubles wins (32).
Vendrell graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a concentration in International Business and a Bachelor of Science in Economics. Vendrell was also a member of the Nisbet Honors Program at Converse University.
