Honors: 2024 Second Team All-Conference (100 Fly), 4x 2024 Third Team All-Conference (200 Back, 200 Medley Relay, 400 Free, 800 Free)
2024-2025 (Sophomore): Finished fifth on the team this season and 30th in Conference Carolinas with 577.15 points...Competed in seven total meets this season...At the Conference Carolinas Championships, helped the 400 medley relay team to a fourth place finish and the 200 medley relay team to a fifth place finish...Individually, Young placed fifth in the 100 fly event, seventh in the 200 back event, and 16th in the 50 free event...At the Centre Midseason Invite, helped the 400 medley relay team to a third place finish...Individually, Young placed sixth in the both the 100 Fly and 200 back events, and a seventh place finish in the 100 back event.Â
2023-2024 (Freshman): Began the season with a pair of first-place finishes in the 50-yard fly (26.49), and in the 100-yard fly (1:00.11)SB, helped the 200 medley relay team A to a first-place finish, and helped the 200 free relay team A to a first-place finish… In the second meet of the season against Barton, Young had a first-place finish in the 100-yard fly (1:00.53), a second-place finish in the 50-yard free (26.05), helped the 400 medley relay team A to a first-place finish, and helped the 400 free relay team A to a first-place finish... At the second meet against King, Young had a pair of first-place finishes in the 50-yard back (28.60) and in the 50-yard fly (27.59), helped the 200 medley relay team A to a first-place finish, and helped the 200 free relay team A to a first-place finish… On day one of the mid-season Invitational, Young helped the 400 medley relay team A to a first-place finish… On day two of the mid-season Invitational, Young helped the 200 medley relay team A to a first-place finish and helped the 800 free relay team B to a fifth-place finish…On the final day of the mid-season Invitational, Young had a first-place finish in the 50-yard fly (26.39)SB, a second-place finish in the 200-yard back (2:08.57)PB, a pair of third-place finishes in the 50-yard free (24.99)SB and the 100-yard fly (58.72)SB, and helped the 400 free relay team A to a second-place finish… On day one of the first tri-meet of the season against Lenoir-Rhyne & Wheeling University, Young had a pair of first-place finishes in the 50-yard fly (26.52) and the 100-yard fly (1:01.26), helped the 200 medley relay team A to a first-place finish, and helped the 200 free relay team A to a first-place finish... On day two of the tri-meet against Lenoir-Rhyne & Wheeling University, Young had a pair of first-place finishes in the 200-yard back (2:15.02) and the 100-yard fly, helped the 400 medley relay team A to a first-place finish, and helped the 400 free relay team A to a second-place finish… In the final home meet of the season, Young had a first-place finish in the 100-yard back (1:05.20), a second-place finish in the 100 IM (1:05.81), a third-place finish in the 50-yard breast (36.84), and helped the 200 free relay team A to a third-place finish... On day one of the Conference Carolinas Championships, Young helped the 200 medley relay team A to a third-place finish and helped the 800 free relay team A to a third-place finish… On day three of the Conference Carolinas Championships, Young helped the 400 medley relay team A to a second-place finish… On day four of the Conference Carolinas Championships, Young had a third-place finish in the 200-yard back (2:07.57)PB, had a sixth-place finish in the 100-yard fly (57.68)SB, had a 12th-place finish in the 50-yard free, and helped the 400 free relay team A to a third-place finish…
Prep: Was a two-sport athlete at Wheeler High School and holds the school records in the 100 fly, 200 free, 400 free, and the 200 medley relay events...Was also the team Captain and MVP...Swam for Stingrays Swim Club and made the Futures Cut in the 100 fly (57.41)...Helped her team to a top-3 finish at State and Swam the fly leg of the girls' 400 medley relay GA LCM State Winners...Outside of athletics, was part of a team that won first place at the Cobb County Film Festival and won Best Actress for her role in the film, frequent blood donor, and honor roll student.Â
Personal: Is the daughter of Jonathan Young and Jaime Dang...has one sibling named Annabelle....Father played golf at the University of Georgia.
