Emily enters her third year with Converse University Sports Medicine. An outsourced athletic trainer from Prisma Health, Emily has had the pleasure to tackle all sports during her time at Converse. Emily assumed the role of Head Athletic Trainer in November of 2020. In the 2021-2022 year, Emily will be responsible for Men’s Soccer, Women’s Basketball, Acrobatics and Tumbling, and Golf.

Prior to her time at Converse, Emily attended the University of North Carolina Greensboro (UNCG) completing her Master of Science in Sports Medicine. In collaborations with the UNCG Athletics Department and Dance Department, Emily helped build and established the Dance Medicine program to serve undergraduate and graduate dancers at UNCG.

Prior to UNCG, Emily worked with ProImpact Physical Therapy and Sports Performance as an outsource athletic trainer with Faulkner University in Montgomery, AL. While here, Emily was primarily responsible for men’s and women’s soccer, women’s basketball, and softball.

Emily graduated from College of Charleston in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training and a Bachelor of Arts in Dance with a concentration in Performance and Choreography. Emily is a member of NATA, MAATA, SCATA, and IADMS. Emily is also on the Educational Committee with Performing Arts Athletic Trainers’ Society.

Emily lives in Greer with her partner, Adam, and dog, Turbo. She enjoys spending time with friends and family, doing yoga, and traveling!
