Breondra Steele

Breondra Steele is the Track & Field Assistant Coach specializing in jumping. Steele’s hometown is Hiram, Georgia, and she attended Shorter University for two years before transferring to the University of South Carolina Upstate and graduating. Throughout high school, Steele competed in the 4x100, 4x400, long jump, high jump, 100, 200, and 400. 

During the 2024-25 season, Steele guided the Valkyries' jumpers to seven all-conference performances. Of those, three were conference championships, including graduate student Jordan Brown repeating as the Conference Carolinas outdoor high jump champion.

During college, Steele competed in the high jump, long jump, and triple jump. Steele was then an assistant jump coach at Boiling Springs High School from 2019-2022. During this time, Steele set two new school records in jumps (2022) and coached five student-athletes to State Qualifiers in sprints (2022). Steele then joined the coaching staff at J.L. Mann High School as an assistant from 2022-2023. During this time, Steele set three new school records (2023) and coached four student-athletes to State Qualifiers in jump and hurdles (2023).
