Event Description
This interest clinic is designed for current Converse students and incoming freshmen who are
interested in joining the Converse University Spirit Squad. Participants will experience collegiate-level training, learn about team expectations, and gain insight into the audition process.
What Participants Will Experience
• Warm-up & conditioning
• Technique training (turns, leaps, flexibility)
• Collegiate-style choreography
• Basic cheer and sideline elements
• Program overview & expectations

Converse University Spirit Squad - Recruitment Clinic & Pro Prep Experience
Date: May 3rd: 1:00 pm-3:00 pm (check-in 12:30 pm)
Cost: $20 per participant
Target Audience: Middle School & High School Athletes (Ages 12–18; dance, cheer, and spirit backgrounds welcome)

Event Description
This recruitment clinic is designed for middle and high school athletes interested in continuing their careers at the collegiate level. Participants will train in technique, performance quality, and
collegiate-style choreography, while also being introduced to skills required for both dance and
cheer-based spirit squads. This event serves as a recruitment opportunity for prospective
student-athletes.
What Participants Will Experience
• Dynamic warm-up & conditioning
• Technique training (turns, leaps, flexibility, motion precision)
• Across-the-floor progressions
• Collegiate-style choreography (dance + pom)
• Basic cheer elements (motions, sideline presence)
• Performance evaluations & feedback
• Q&A; about auditions and college dance

Date: May 8th - 9th

Proposed Audition Structure
Day 1 – May 8 (Prep & Evaluation Day)
Time: 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM
• Warm-up & conditioning
• Across-the-floor progressions
• Teach audition combination
• Clean and run in groups
Day 2 – May 9 (Final Audition Day)
Time: 2:45 PM – 6:00 PM
• Review audition combination
• Group performances
• Sideline / Spirit Squad performance section
• Individual interview question
* The final audition day will be an open audition where guests and family are welcome to attend and observe performances.
