Morrison Named New Assistant Volleyball Coach

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Converse University head volleyball coach Jacob Bostic has announced the hiring of Katy Morrison as the Valkyries new assistant volleyball coach.

"Great teams need great partners," Bostic said. "Adding Katy to my staff brings fresh knowledge, a positive atmosphere, and a shared drive to help our players reach their full potential. She will also help build our players confidence and character. I could not be more excited to have her!"

"I am so excited to be joining coach Jacob in Spartanburg and be a part of the culture he's building in this program," Morrison said. "The future is certainly bright for the Valkyries and I'm excited to get to work this fall!"

Morrison comes to Converse after being an assistant coach and graduate assistant coach at Oral Roberts University. While in Tulsa, Morrison was also the head club coach for the Oklahoma Charge.

Morrison is no stranger to Palmetto State as she played collegiate volleyball for Newberry College. In three seasons with the Wolves, Morrison tallied 380 career digs and averaged 2.24 digs per set. Morrison had 10 or more digs in 24 matches during her career and 15 or more digs five times in her career.
