SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Converse University Athletic Department has announced the hiring of Rebecca Acevedo as the new Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach.  
 
Acevedo is coming to Converse after working at Newberry College the previous four years as an Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach. In the four seasons she worked with the Wolves, Acevedo worked with 10 total sports. While at Newberry, she also oversaw the Sports Performance Instagram page.
 
Prior to her time at Newberry, Acevedo had internships with Mississippi State University, Southern Mississippi and West Alabama. Acevedo graduated from Southern Mississippi with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiotherapy and a Masters of Science Degree in Exercise Science.
