GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Conference Carolinas office announced their men's basketball awards on Thursday morning, Converse University senior forward Jordyn Surratt (Spartanburg, S.C.) collected third team honors for his performance on the court this season.
 
This past season, Surratt appeared and started in all 25 games for the Valkyries in his lone season at Converse. The Spartanburg native averaged 36.4 minutes per game, shooting 47.7 percent from the field, 36.2 percent from three-point range and 77.3 percent from the free throw line. Surratt tallied 490 points (19.6 points per game), 207 rebounds (8.3 rebounds per game), 56 assists, 19 steals and 10 blocks.
 
Surratt scored a season high 28 points against Barton (1/17/26) and also set the school record for made free throws in a game (15). The senior also set the single-season record for double-doubles in a season with 10. Surratt's 490 points are the second most scored in a single season in program history and is top five on the career points list. His 19.6 points per game ranks second all-time in a single season, he also ranks second in field goals made (158) and field goals attempted (331). Surratt also ranks second all-time in total rebounds (207) and rebounds per game (8.3). Surratt holds the single season record for free throws made (136), free throws attempted (176) and minutes played (36.4).
