Brown Tabbed Conference Carolinas Women’s Basketball Defensive Player of the Week Presented by ConferenceCarolinasTravel.com

GREENVILLE, S.C. – With 26 rebounds across three games last week, graduate guard Jordan Brown earned Conference Carolinas Women's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week presented by ConferenceCarolinasTravel.com. 

Brown, a graduate student from McCormick competing in her fifth year of eligibility, averaged 8.67 rebounds per game and helped the team extend its longest winning streak of the season by dominating Barton on Saturday, 81-52.

The McCormick native also blocked three shots against North Greenville on Tuesday, Feb. 11, and one on Sunday, Feb. 16, at Chowan. Against the Trailblazers, Brown led all players with four steals and recorded one more against the Hawks.

Offensively, Brown tallied 26 points over three games.

Brown and the Valkyries are scheduled to return to the court on Wednesday, Feb. 19 as they travel to Belmont Abbey to take on the Crusaders. Tipoff is scheduled for 5 P.M.
