GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Conference Carolinas office announced their monthly freshman of the month award winners on Friday morning. Converse University freshman middle blocker
Ava Trentman (New Bremen, Ohio) was named Conference Carolinas Freshman of the Month for her efforts on the court during the month of October.
Trentman started all 12 matches for the Valkyries in month of October and helped Converse to an 11-1 record over that time span. The Ohio native tallied 85 kills, 4 assists, 6 digs, 9 solo blocks, 19 assisted blocks and 28 total blocks. The freshman also posted a .374 hitting percentage for the month of October.
Trentman and the rest of the Converse volleyball team will be back in action tomorrow afternoon at Shorter.
