Alysha Arroyo (Isabela, Puerto Rico) has been named Specialist of the Week for her efforts on the court last week.
Arroyo helped the Valkyries to a perfect 3-0 week with wins over Emmanuel, Barton and Chowan. The Valkyries are now a perfect 6-0 in Northwest Division action and they have won three straight conference matches.
Last week, Arroyo averaged 10.10 assists per set and 3.10 digs per set for the Valkyries. Against Emmanuel, Arroyo tallied 41 assists and nine digs before finishing the week with back-to-back double-doubles against Barton and Chowan. Arroyo also had seven total blocks and six service aces against the Valkyries competition.
Arroyo and the rest of the Converse volleyball team will be back in action tomorrow night at North Greenville University.
