Mackenzie Day (Columbia, S.C.) has been named Specialist of the Week by the Conference Carolinas office, for her performance on the court this past weekend.
Day helped the Valkyries go 2-2 this past weekend with wins over Elizabeth City State and Central State. Day finished the weekend with 97 total digs, including a weekend high 37 digs against Roberts Wesleyan on Friday morning. The Palmetto State native, finished the weekend with 17 assists, five service aces, and a .961 reception percentage.
For Day this is her first Specialist of the Week honors from the Conference Carolinas office. Day and the rest of the Valkyries will be back in action tomorrow evening against Mars Hill University. First serve is currently scheduled for 7:00 p.m. inside the Weisiger Center.
