YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. – The Converse University women's lacrosse team saw their season come to an end last night, as they fell 20-9 to Young Harris in the Conference Carolinas Championship Quarterfinals round.
The Valkyries finish the 2024 season with an 8-9 overall record, while Young Harris advances on to the semifinals round with an 11-7 record.
Hailey Obenchain continued her success on the field with a pair of goals and an assist in the loss. Her lone assist gave her 51 assists on the season, tying her own school record from a season ago. Obenchain's three point performance also gave her 89 points on the year, setting a new program record in the process.
Becky Reinhard once again led the team with a four goal performance in the loss. The freshman finished the season with 60 goals, the most by a Valkyrie since the 2018 season. Reinhard's 60 goals are also the fourth most in a single season in program history.
Freshman
Izzy Eby also had a great individual performance for the Valkyries. Eby concludes her freshman campaign with 18 free position goals, which is the second most in a single season in program history.
Reagan Collins concluded the season with 158 saves, passing herself for the third most saves in a single season in program history. Collins also tied her own school record for wins in a season with eight.
