AUSTIN, TEXAS – The College Sports Communicators announced their annual All-District Teams on Tuesday afternoon, Converse University had three selections, Tori Barr, Megan Carpenter, and Mackenzie Day.
 
Mackenzie Day (Columbia, S.C.) is adding an academic award to her plethora of athletic awards this postseason. Day is a Business Administration major with a 3.57 Grade Point Average (GPA). On the court this season, Day was named a D2CCA All-American, D2CCA First Team All-Region, Conference Carolinas Tournament MVP, Conference Carolinas All-Tournament Team, Conference Carolinas Defensive Player of the Year and a Conference Carolinas First Team All-Conference selection. This is the second time in her career that she has been named a CSC Academic All-District selection.  
 
Tori Barr (Ninety Six, S.C.) is a Child and Family Studies major with a 3.97 GPA. The senior played and started in all 33 matches this season for Converse and saw action in 126 total sets. Barr accumulated 253 points, 190 kills, a .234 hitting percentage, 5 assists, 27 digs, 26 solo blocks, 74 block assists, and 100 total blocks. Barr concludes are Converse career with 44 solo blocks (8^th most in program history), 144 assisted blocks (4^th most in program history), and 184 total blocks (7^th most in program history).
 
Megan Carpenter (Easley, S.C.) is a Business Administration major with a 3.93 GPA. The junior played in 30 matches, made 26 starts, and tallied 101 sets played this past season for Converse. Carpenter recorded 279 points, averaging 2.76 points per set, finished with 253 kills, a .226 hitting percentage, 8 assists, 65 digs, 9 solo blocks, 34 assisted blocks, and 43 total blocks. Carpenter recorded a career high 16 kills against Emmanuel (11/22/24), and a career best at Shorter (11/1/24) this season.
 
All three players will move on to the Academic All-American round of voting. The Academic All-American team will be announced on January 14^th.
