ROCK HILL, S.C. – The South Atlantic Conference (SAC) office announced their annual field hockey awards and all-conference teams on Thursday morning, Converse University athletes, Catalina Pistaccio, Amparo Figueroa and Chelsy Bunse all earned the accolade.
 
Catalina Pistaccio (Buenos Aires, Argentina) is a first team all-conference selection for the fourth time in her career. The senior led the Valkyries this season in goals (13), assists (7), points (33), total shots (51) and shots on goal (32). The native of Argentina won the SAC Statistical Championship in points per game this season (1.94). Pistaccio concludes her Converse career as the all-time leader in points (121), goals (47), assists (27), total shots (243), shots on goal (149) and game-winning goals (12).
 
Amparo Figueroa (Santa Rosa, Argentina) is a first team all-conference selection for the first time in her career. The freshman finished second on the team in goals (7), points (18), total shots (38), and shots on goal (24). Figueroa finished third on the team in assists this season with four.
 
Chelsy Bunse (Oberhausen, Germany) is a second team all-conference selection for the first time in her career. The sophomore started all but one game this season for the Valkyries and finished second on the team in assists with five. Bunse finished the season with 13 total shot attempts and eight shots on goal.
