Women’s Basketball Set to Square off With WSSU and ECSU

Converse Notes:

Converse enters the long weekend after dropping both of their games at the SAC/CC Challenge.
Through two games junior forward Bentlee Chockley leads the Valkyries in scoring with an average of 12.0 points per game followed by sophomore center Olivia Martin who averages 9.0 points per game.
The Valkyries look to get their first win within their first three Division II games of the season for the third time in the last six seasons, dating back to a season-opening 84-77 victory over Queens (N.C.) to open the 2019-20 season.
In just three seasons, Davidson sits second in career victories at Converse, passing two coaches who coached the Valkyries for three or more seasons. The only coach she trails is Dean Walsh, who coached the Valkyries for four seasons from the 2015-16 to the 2018-19 season.

Winston-Salem State Notes:

The Rams enter the game 1-2 on the season after stopping a two-game skid by defeating Lees-McRae 69-51 at home on Wednesday.
Junior Jakaiya Mack leads the team in scoring with 11.0 points per game. She averages 24.3 minutes per game. She also leads the team with 10 steals.
Through three games, sophomore Karina Scott leads the team in three pointers made with four.
The Rams score an average of 62.3 points per game and give up an average of 61.3 points per game.

Elizabeth City State Notes:

After opening the season with a 64-54 road victory over Benedict, the Vikings enter the weekend on a two-game skid. They face Clark Atlanta on Sunday, Nov. 17 before taking on the Valkyries on Monday.
Junior Tiana Amos leads the team in scoring with 9.0 points per game.
Senior Londen Coleman leads the team in rebounding with 4.7 rebounds per game.
The Vikings score and average of 53.3 points per game and give up an average of 60.0 points per game.
