The Series:
This will be the ninth all-time meeting between Converse and Francis Marion dating back to the 2010 season. The Patriots are 7-1 against the Valkyries over that time span, however, the Valkyries won the last matchup played in Spartanburg back in 2022.
 
This will be just the third meeting between Converse and Young Harris dating back to the 2022 season. The teams split the first two meetings, with the Mountain Lions winning the match last year. For Young Harris this will be their first trip to Spartanburg.
 
Converse Notes:

• Converse is 9-3 overall this season and 3-0 in Conference Carolinas action this year. The Valkyries are off to their best start since the 2006 season, when they start the season 10-4.
• The Valkyries have won 12 straight sets dating back to the Central State game on September 14^th. The last time Converse won 12 straight sets was during the 2006 season.
• Due to Hurricane Helene causing destruction in the upstate of South Carolina, the Valkyries have not played in over a week. Last time out, Converse defeated Southern Wesleyan in straight sets to stay perfect in Conference Carolinas play.
• The Valkyries are averaging 12.4 kills per set, 11.4 assists per set, 2.0 service aces per set, 19.9 digs per set and 1.8 blocks per set.
• The Valkyries 19.76 digs per set currently ranks fourth nationally in Division II, and their 868 total digs ranks seventh nationally.
• Mackenzie Day currently ranks second in the nation in digs per set (6.45) and third in the nation in total digs (284).  
• Noemia Chiacchio is currently ranked eighth nationally in service aces (28) and 22^nd nationally in aces per set (0.64).
• Chiacchio leads the team with 135 kills this season, Ariel Bryant is second on the team with 103 kills, and Megan Carpenter is third on the team with 87 kills.
• Alysha Arroyo leads the team with 269 assists and Jayden Johnson is second on the team with 147.
• Ariel Bryant is second on the team with 160 digs, Chiacchio is third on the team with 136 digs and Arroyo is fourth on the team with 120 digs. Tori Barr leads the team with 33 blocks, and Alayah Robertson is second on the team with 27 blocks.

 
Francis Marion Notes:

• Francis Marion is 2-11 overall this season and 1-3 in Conference Carolinas play. The Patriots have lost three straight matches, and they are coming off a 3-1 loss to Belmont Abbey on Saturday afternoon.
• Francis Marion is averaging 10.3 kills per set, 9.7 assists per set, 1.9 services aces per set, 14.5 digs per set and 1.6 blocks per set.
• Kara Walker leads the team with 146 kills, Kaytlin Smart is second on the team with 119 kills and Caroline Lucas is third on the team with 90 kills.
• Mya Mendoza leads the team with 409 assists and 23 service aces. Walker leads the team with 124 digs, Katie Floyd is second on the team with 119 digs and Mendoza is third on the team with 105 digs.
• Smart leads the team with 43 blocks on the year followed by Ella Curbow who is second on the team with 31 blocks.

 
Young Harris Notes:

• Young Harris is 2-6 overall this season and 2-3 in Conference Carolinas action. The Mountain Lions are the winners of two straight, having beaten both Barton and Chowan last weekend.
• Young Harris is averaging 10.7 kills per set, 9.4 assists per set, 1.3 aces per set, 15.1 digs per set, and 1.6 blocks per set.
• Nicole Klucharich leads the team with 78 kills, Abbey Schirm is second on the team 69 kills, and Shelby Mullins is third on the team with 52 kills.
• Lyza Thigpen leads the team with 155 assists and Alyssa DeSimone is second on the team with 88 assists.
• Joha Bernis leads the team with eight service aces and 148 digs. Thigpen is second on the team with 51 digs and Rylie Springer is third on the team with 46 digs. Kathryn Urbanek leads the team with 22 blocks and Klucharich is second on the team with 15 blocks.
