The Tournament:
This will be the first time the Valkyries have played in the Flagler Invitational since the 2015 volleyball season. That season, Converse went 1-2 with a win against Dominican on the final day of the tournament.
Converse Notes:
- Converse is 0-3 this season after a tough opening weekend at the Lenoir-Rhyne tournament.
- The Valkyries are averaging 8.8 kills per set this season, 14.7 digs per set and 1.3 blocks per set.
- Tia Gripado leads the team with 17 kills, Ariel Bryant is second on the team with 15 kills and Tori Barr and Evelyn Fitz are tied for third on the team with 12 kills each.
- Madison Gregory leads the team with 30 assists while MacKenzie Schmucker is second on the team with 23 assists this season.
- Alayah Robertson leads the team with 4 service aces, Mackenzie Day leads the team with 34 digs and Gripado is second on the team 32 digs. Barr leads the team with 5 total blocks on the season, while Gripado is second on the team 4 total blocks.
- The Valkyries will face both Missouri Southern and University of Missouri-St. Louis for the first time in program history this weekend. Converse is 0-2 against Flagler College and 0-1 against Embry-Riddle.
Flagler Notes:
- Flagler is 0-3 this season after the opening weekend of play. The Saints played against a pair of nationally ranked opponents in the Florida Southern Invitational.
- In the first match of the season, the Saints fell in five sets to #17 Washburn. In the second match of the year, Flagler lost in four sets to #6 Barry and in the final match of the weekend, the Saints lost in fives sets to host school Florida Southern.
- Flagler is averaging 11.8 kills per set, 11.1 assists per set, 1.2 aces per set, 13.4 digs per set and 2.6 blocks per set.
- Jordan Berglin leads the team with 44 kills, Molly Boyd is second on the team with 27 kills and Colby Stempkowski is third on the team with 24 kills.
- Lainee Mack leads the team with 69 assists on the season, Cameron Fenner is second on the team with 34 assists and Amelia Fitzpatrick is third on the team with 30 assists.
- Edie Lamoreaux and Dani Russo are tied for the team lead with 4 service aces. Lamoreaux is also the team leader in digs with 64 and Berglin is second on the team with 22 digs.
- Molly Boyd leads the team with 19 total blocks and Colby Stempkowski is second on the team with 10 blocks this season.
Embry-Riddle Notes:
- Embry-Riddle is 3-1 on the season with wins over Emmanuel, (RV) Augusta and Drury. The Eagles lone blemish on the season came against #20 Wingate on the final day of their home tournament.
- The Eagles are averaging 12.2 kills per set, 11.7 assists per set, 1.7 aces per set, 17.4 digs per set and 2.3 blocks per set.
- Jaden McBride leads the team with 49 kills, Isabella Rujano is second on the team with 44 kills and Hunter Ackerman is third on the team with 30 kills.
- Grace Datil leads the team with 102 assists, Devyn Petrowski is second on the team with 45 assists and McBride leads the team with 9 service aces.
- Tamzen Wilson leads the team with 67 digs and McBride is second on the team with 49 digs.
- The Eagles have four players with double-digit blocks on the season, Dana Gibbons (17), Kailey Hrbek (14), McBride (11) and Ackerman (10).
Missouri Southern Notes:
- Missouri Southern is 4-0 on the season with wins over Cameron, Northwestern Oklahoma, Southern Arkansas and Southwest Baptist.
- The Lions are averaging 15.5 kills per set, 14.3 assists per set, 2.1 aces per set, 20.1 digs per set and 1.8 blocks per set.
- Fernanda Canedo leads the team with 49 kills, Kyra Thomas is second on the team with 40 kills, Alana Moesch and Amelia Neels are tied for third on the team with 32 kills.
- Hannah Allick leads the team with 82 assists and Landrey VanOverschelde is second on the team with 64 assists.
- Kyla Randall leads the team with 7 service aces, Tori Hamilton leads the team with 67 digs, while Allick and Canedo are tied for second on the team with 40 digs.
- Amelia Neels leads the team with 12 blocks, Laci Owenby and Kyra Thomas are tied for second on the team with 7 blocks.
#8 Missouri-St. Louis Notes:
- The Tritons are 4-0 this season with wins over Trevecca Nazarene, #25 Lynn, Alabama Huntsville and Carson-Newman.
- UMSL is averaging 13.4 kills per set this season, 12.6 assists per set, 2.0 aces per set, 15.1 digs per set and 1.4 blocks per set.
- Lexie Rang leads the team with 63 kills, Mya Elliott, Hailey Flowers and Delaney Humm are tied for second on the team with 27 kills.
- Caitlin Bishop leads the team with 144 assists and Rang leads the team with 9 service aces.
- Kylie Adams leads the team with 58 digs, Rylee Edson is second on the team with 46 digs, Hannah Copeland leads the team with 12 blocks on the season.
