The Weekend Outlook:
This will be the second ever meeting between Converse and Young Harris and their first meeting as Conference Carolinas opponents. The Valkyries won the first meeting 3-1 last season at the Francis Marion Invitational. This will be the 18th all-time meeting between Converse and Emmanuel dating all the way back to the 2012 season. Emmanuel is currently 17-0 against the Valkyries and 9-0 on their home court against Converse.
Converse Notes:
· Converse is coming off a difficult weekend tournament that saw the Valkyries face a nationally ranked opponent on Saturday afternoon.
· The Valkyries are averaging 9.0 kills per set, 8.3 assists, 13.6 digs per set and 0.9 blocks per set this season.
· Tia Gripado leads the team with 47 kills this season, Ariel Bryant and Evelyn Fitz are both second on the team with 32 kills each.
· Madison Gregory leads the team with 83 assists, while MacKenzie Schmucker is second on the team with 59 assists on the season.
· Mackenzie Day leads the team with 62 digs on the season and Alayah Robertson leads the team with 8.0 blocks.
Young Harris Notes:
· Young Harris went 1-3 last weekend at the Blazer Fall Tournament with a five-set win over Coker on Friday morning.
· The Mount Lions are averaging 9.8 kills per set, 8.7 assists per set, 1.9 aces per set, 12.9 digs per set and 1.2 blocks per set.
· Lily Hidalgo leads the team with 77 kills on the season, Chase Vaigneur is second on the team with 62 kills and Faith Kelly is third on the team with 47 kills.
· Lyza Thigpen leads the team with 131 assists, while both Hidalgo and Vaigneur are tied for the team lead with 10 service aces.
· Joha Bernis leads the team with 93 digs on the season and Sophie Bearden leads the team with 16 blocks on the year.
Emmanuel Notes:
· Emmanuel is coming off a 2-1 weekend in which the Lions saw wins over both Shorter and Lee University.
· The Lions are averaging 11.6 kills per set, 10.8 assists per set, 1.5 aces per set, 16.7 digs per set and 1.5 blocks per set.
· Emily Hanson leads the team with 75 kills on the season, Jocelyn Martin is second on the team with 62 kills and Alaina Emminger is third on the team with 58 kills.
· Gabrielle McGlamery leads the team with 290 assists on the season and Amore Marshall is first on the team in aces with 10 on the year.
· Asia Queen leads the team with 109 digs, while McGlamery is a close second with 99 digs on the year. Brianna Bigelow leads the team with 18 blocks and Hanson is one block back with 17 on the season.
