The Series
This will be the third all-time meeting between Converse and Frostburg State dating back to the 2019 season. The series is currently deadlocked at 1-1 with each team having won on each others home turf. The last time these squads met, Converse defeated Frostburg State 3-1 with goals by Mira Polzer,
Lotte Kanters and
Elizabeth Wypych.

Converse Notes
- Converse is coming off of their best season in program history, the Valkyries finished the season 17-2 overall and 11-1 in South Atlantic Conference action.
- The Valkyries won the Mountain Division Championship and won the SAC Tournament Championship for the second consecutive season.
- Second Team All-American and SAC Tournament MVP Catalina Pistaccio (Buenos Aires, Argentina) returns to lead one of the top offenses in the country from a season ago. Pistaccio finished last season with 15 goals, 10 assists and had six game-winning goals for Converse.
- Also, on the offensive end of the ball for Converse, Kilee Bradeen (Bradley, Maine) and Caroline Blair (Penfield, N.Y.) return for the Valkyries. Bradeen tied the freshman record for goals in a season with eight, while Blair finished the season with six goals.
- On the defensive side of the ball upperclassmen Julia Matthijssen (Bemmel, The Netherlands), Elizabeth Wypych (Jackson, N.J.) and Ellie Sharma (Millersville, Md.) return to anchor the back line for the Valkyries.
- Bradeen, Matthijssen and Pistaccio were all named to the Preseason SAC All-Conference team at the start of this season.
- Kat Daniels (Virginia Beach, Va.) returns for her third season of work in the cage for the Valkyries. Last season, Daniels went 4-1 with one shutout and made seven saves on 13 total shots faced. Â

Frostburg State Notes
- Frostburg State went 8-10 overall last season as Division II independent and had wins over Wingate and Lincoln Memorial from the South Atlantic Conference.
- Femke Hofkamp and Emilie Bonhivert return as the Bobcats top two point scorers from a season ago. Hofkamp led the team with seven assists, while Bonhivert finished with a team high seven goals.
- The Bobcats will be looking to replace four year starting goalkeeper Madison Manalansan. Manalansan made 97 saves on 216 shots faced last season.
