The Series
This will be just the fourth time that Converse and UNC Pembroke will meet on the basketball court. The Braves hold a 3-0 advantage over the Valkyries with their last victory coming on January 4 with a 73-44 win.
 
Converse Notes:
  • Converse is 4-18 overall and 4-11 in Conference Carolinas play after dropping a 53-44 road game to North Greenville on Wednesday evening.
  • In the loss, Jordan Brown led Converse with 10 points, six rebounds, one assist and five steals. Zahra Cross followed with nine points, six rebounds, four assists and two steals. Sydney Wilson led in rebounds with nine while Amaia Parkins followed with seven.
  • Converse is averaging 48.6 points per game while averaging a .326 field goal percentage, a .227 three-point percentage and a .597 free throw percentage.
  • The Valkyries are tallying 37.7 rebounds per game, 9.6 assists per game, 7.5 steals per game and 3.5 blocks per game.
  • Wilson leads the team overall, averaging 12.7 points per game with 154 rebounds, 31 assists, 14 steals and 18 blocks on the year. Cross follows with an average of 10.8 points per game and 68 rebounds, 41 assists, 28 steals and four blocks.
  • Brown leads the Valkyries in assists (54) and steals (42) and Parkins leads in blocks (24).
UNC Pembroke Notes:
  • UNC Pembroke is 16-7 overall and 13-2 in Conference Carolinas action after picking up a 64-52 win over Southern Wesleyan on Wednesday evening.
  • In the win, Courtney Smith led with 17 points, nine rebounds, seven assists and four blocks. Kelci Adams followed with 11 points and four rebounds.
  • The Braves are averaging 62.4 points per game while shooting.386 from the field, .316 from beyond the arch and .722 from the line.
  • UNC Pembroke is tallying 38.5 rebounds per game, 12.7 assists per game, 15.2 turnovers per game, 7.7 steals per game and 1.7 blocks per game.
  • Smith leads the team overall with an average of 12.2 points per game with 109 rebounds, 47 assists, 33 steals and three blocks on the season. Zaria Clark follows, averaging 10.9 points per game with a total of 169 rebounds, 48 assists, 36 steals and four blocks.
  • Aniah McManus leads the Braves in assists (52) while Lillian Flantos leads in blocks (10).
