The Series:
This will be the fifth all-time meeting between Converse and Belmont Abbey dating back to the 2021-2022 basketball season. The Crusaders are 3-1 all-time against the Valkyries and 2-0 inside the Wheeler Center. Last time out, the Valkyries defeated Belmont Abbey 71-65 at home.
 
Converse Notes:

• Converse is 8-0 for the first time in program history and is coming off a 74-70 win over King on Saturday afternoon.  
• Edoardo Buffo led the team with 21-points, Uzzah Dawkins was second on the team with 18-points and Earl Burgess III contributed 17-points off the bench.
• The Valkyries are #4 in the latest D2 CSC Region Poll and is receiving a first place vote.
• Burgess III was named Conference Carolinas Defensive Player of the Week. The junior forward recorded a double-double with a 17-point, 12-rebound performance against King.     
• Converse is averaging 88.0 points per game, shooting 53 percent from the field, 40 percent from beyond the arch and 74 percent from the free throw line.
• The Valkyries are averaging 39.6 rebounds per game, 19.3 assists per game, 7.0 steals per game and 1.8 blocks per game.
• Dawkins leads the team with 19.1 points per game, Jamison is second on the team with 14.8 points per game, Buffo is third on the team with 14.1 points per game and Pullen is fourth on the team with 9.7 points per game.
• Jamison leads the team with 48 rebounds and 14 steals on the season, while Buffo leads the team with 34 assists.

 
 
Belmont Abbey Notes:

• Belmont Abbey is 1-7 overall and 0-1 in Conference Carolinas action. The Crusaders have lost six straight games and they are 0-3 at home this season.
• Most recently, Belmont Abbey is coming off an 86-70 loss to Anderson on Saturday afternoon.
• Belmont Abbey is averaging 71.6 points per game this season, shooting 41 percent from the field, 36 percent from the three-pointer and 70 percent from the free throw line.
• The Crusaders are averaging 32.0 rebounds per game, 13.2 assists per game, 5.3 steals per game and 2.4 blocks per game.
