Women’s Basketball Welcomes Lenoir-Rhyne to the Weisiger Center on Wednesday

Converse Notes:
  • The Valkyries enter Wednesday's game following their second victory of the season: a 26-point victory over Columbia College.
  • Redshirt senior Sydney Wilson led the team in scoring for the third time this season. She posted 20 points.
  • Senior guard Jennifer Damoah tallied the highest points off the bench against Columbia with five points. She led the team in rebounding with nine rebounds.
  • Converse is 2-0 this season when scoring 63 points or more. They have done so twice in their matchup history against Lenoir-Rhyne.

Lenoir-Rhyne Notes:
  • The Bears are 3-2 this season and enter the game following a 58-51 victory over Conference Carolinas preseason-favorite UNC Pembroke on Sunday, Nov. 26.
  • Seniors Blaikley Crooks and Emily Harman were both named preseason All-SAC First Team selections. Crooks leads the team in per-game scoring with 16.4 points per game and Harman is second with 15.2 points per game. Both seniors have started all five games.
  • Lenoir-Rhyne is the defending South Atlantic Conference Tournament champions. They defeated eventual-NCAA-National-Semifinalist, Catawba, in the SAC semifinals to claim their conference title.
  • Last season the Bears went 7-0 against Conference Carolinas opponents and picked up two victories over 2023-Conference-Carolinas addition Young Harris. This season the Bears are 2-1 against Conference Carolinas opponents with victories over Mount Olive and UNC Pembroke and a 76-73 loss to Francis Marion.
