The Series
This will be just the third time that Converse and UNC Pembroke have met on the basketball court. The Braves hold a 2-0 record over the Valkyries, winning both games last season by scores of 57-42 and 76-40.
Converse Notes:
- Converse is 1-11 overall and 1-5 in Conference Carolinas action. Most recently, the Valkyries played in an exhibition game against East Tennessee State University on New Year's Eve.
- The game ended in an 82-35 loss for Converse who was led by Zahra Cross. Cross had 15 points, three rebounds, one assist and one steal against the Bucs. Sydney Wilson followed with eight points, six rebounds, and two steals.

- UNC Pembroke is 7-6 overall and 4-1 in Conference Carolinas play after picking up a 59-48 win over Limestone on New Year's Eve.
- In the win, Zaria Clark led the Braves with 14 points, nine rebounds and one assist. Aniah McManus followed with nine points, one rebound and one assist.
- As a team, the Braves are averaging 59.8 points per game while shooting .356 from the field, .292 from three-point range and .740 from the line.
- UNC Pembroke is racking up 37.1 rebounds per game, 10.2 assists per game, 16.8 turnovers per game, 7.2 steals per game and 1.2 blocks per game.
