Everette’s Hat Trick against Emmanuel is Not Enough

FRANKLIN SPRINGS, GA. – The Converse University women's lacrosse team concluded their season on Saturday afternoon with a 20-6 loss to Emmanuel.

Emmanuel (9-6) jumped out to a 4-0 lead, before Brenna Everette scored the first goal for the Valkyries. Following a fifth Emmanuel score at the 5:55 mark of the opening period, Everette scored back-to-back goals for Converse (1-15) to keep the team within a pair of goals of Emmanuel. In the final 68 seconds of the period, the Lions scored twice to take a 7-3 advantage into the second stanza of play.

The Lions scored seven goals in the second quarter and shutout the Valkyries to take a 14-3 lead into the halftime break. Following a trio of goals by the Lions offense, Rhianna Warner and Libby Stevens combined for a trio of scores. Three more goals by the Lions in the fourth quarter, gave Emmanuel a 20-6 win over Converse.
