SALISBURY, N.C. – The Converse University women's lacrosse team dropped their fourth game of the season on Wednesday night with a 21-6 loss to Catawba College.
Catawba scored the first goal of the match with 13:52 to play in the opening quarter.
Brenna Everette found Libby Stevens for the equalizer with 7:43 to play in the period. The Catawba Indians then scored seven unanswered goals to end the first quarter. In the second quarter, Catawba scored the first two goals of the period before
Rhianna Warner scored on a man-up opportunity with 5:45 to play.
In the second half of action the Valkyries remained competitive as they scored a pair of goals in the final two quarters of action. Stevens, Warner, Everette, Cassidy O'Neill and
Ciriaca Petitto all ended the match with goals for the Valkyries.
