The Series:
This will be the third meeting between Converse and Barton. The Bulldogs have won both matchups in the series, including a 75-67 win over the Valkyries at home last season. However, this will be one of the more pivotal matchups early in the series as both teams sit atop the Conference Carolinas standings.  
 
Converse Notes:

• Converse is 6-5 overall and 4-1 in Conference Carolinas action this season. The Valkyries have won a school record five straight games and they are coming off an 87-77 win over Francis Marion on Wednesday evening inside the Weisiger Center.    
• Four Valkyries ended the evening with double-digit points, NyGel Boozer (20pts), Uzziah Dawkins (16pts), Bosko Bojovic (12pts) and Jordan Warlick (10pts).  
• Converse is averaging 74.0 points per game this season and they are shooting .477 from the field. The Valkyries are also shooting .375 from beyond the arch and .689 from the free throw line.
• The Valkyries are averaging 33.1 rebounds per game, 14.9 assists per game, 4.9 steals per game and 1.8 blocks per game.
• Uzziah Dawkins leads the team with 13.2 points per game, while Sigurd Lorange is second on the team with 10.9 points per game and Bojovic is third on the team with 10.6 points per game.
• Bosko Bojovic leads the team in offensive rebounds (25), defensive rebounds (42), total rebounds (67) and rebounds per game (7.4). Dawkins leads the team with 41 assists and 7 blocks.  

 
Barton Notes:

• Barton is 5-4 overall this season and 3-0 in Conference Carolinas action. The Bulldogs are 4-1 this season at home, but they are coming off a 68-64 loss to USC Aiken on Thursday evening.
• Marcus Boykin led the Bulldogs in points scored (20), total rebounds (9), assists (6) and tied for the team lead in steals (3). Donaven Hairston finished second on the team with 11-points in the match and Reese McDonald contributed 9 points.
• Barton is averaging 75.3 points per game and they are shooting .416 from the field. The Bulldogs are also shooting .287 from three-point range and .797 from the free throw line.
• The Bulldogs are averaging 39.6 rebounds per game, 16.6 assists per game, 10.2 steals per game and 4.7 blocks per game.
• Barton has a trio of players that are averaging double-figures in the scoring column this season, Marcus Boykin (19.4 points per game), Trevon Spencer (13.1 points per game) and Donaven Hairston (13.0 points per game).
• Boykin currently leads the team in total rebounds (61), rebounds per game (6.8) and steals (18). Spencer leads the conference in blocked shots with 22 on the season and McDonald leads the team with 37 assists.
