Series History:
This will be the 20th all-time meeting between Converse and Lees-McRae dating back to the 2010 season. The Bobcats are 15-4 against the Valkyries over that time frame, but the two squads split the season series this season. This will be the first time the two teams have met in the first round of the Conference Carolinas tournament. With a win the Valkyries will face the three-seed King University in the second match of the day. A win on Saturday would give the Valkyries their first ever postseason win in the NCAA era.  
 
Converse Notes:
  • Converse is 8-18 overall this season and 5-13 in Conference Carolinas action. The Valkyries are back in the postseason for the first time in two seasons.
  • Last time out the Valkyries completed the season sweep of Southern Wesleyan, as Jasmine Finkley led the Valkyries with 11 kills on the afternoon. Savannah Ducote added a team high 17 assists, while Evelyn Fitz led the team with 14 digs in the match.
  • As a team, Converse is recording 10.0 kills per set, 9.1 assists per set, 1.3 aces per set, 15.7 digs per set and 1.6 blocks per set.
  • Finkley leads the team with 257 kills and 86 blocks this season, Fitz is second on the team with 204 kills and Anna Rabon is third on the team with 169 kills.
  • Ducote leads the team with 442 assists and is fourth on the team in digs (208). Mackenzie Schmucker is second on the team in assists with 300 on the season. Mackenzie Day currently leads the team with 406 digs on the year and Anna Rabon leads the team with 35 aces.
 
Lees-McRae Notes: 
  • Lees-McRae is 7-22 overall and 6-12 in Conference Carolinas action. The Bobcats are 0-6 in neutral site matches this season.
  • The Bobcats are currently on a three-match losing streak and they are coming off a 3-0 sweep against Emmanuel on Tuesday evening.
  • As a team, Lees-McRae is averaging 10.6 kills per set, 10.0 assists per set, 1.4 services aces per set, 13.5 digs per set and 1.5 blocks per set.
  • Sydney Stigler leads the team with 277 kills, Annalaine Tew is second on the team with 197 kills and Destiny Holley is third on the team with 167 kills.
  • Madison Goins leads the team with 564 assists and Julia Emore is second on the team with 299 assists. Bre Adamson leads the team with 349 digs and is tied for the team lead in service aces with 29. Destiny Holley leads the team with 90 blocks on the season.
