The Series:
This is the 38^th meeting between Converse and North Greenville dating back to the 2002-2003 basketball season. The Crusaders are 29-8 all-time against the Valkyries and have won the last five meetings dating back to the 2019-2020 season. Last season, the Crusaders swept the season series and defeated the Valkyries 66-56 inside the Weisiger Center.  
 
Converse Notes:

• The Valkyries are 0-6 overall this season and 0-1 in Conference Carolinas play. The Valkyries are coming off a 94-34 loss to Lenoir-Rhyne on Saturday afternoon.
• Sydney Wilson led the team with 16-points in the loss and finished third on the team in rebounds with five.
• Converse is averaging 47.3 points per game this season and they are shooting .287 from the field. The Valkyries are also shooting .253 from three-point range and .598 from the free throw line.
• The Valkyries are averaging 37.5 rebounds per game, 9.5 assists per game, 6.8 steals per game and 2.3 blocks per game.
• Wilson leads the team with 11.2 points per game and Zahra Cross is second on the team with 10.5 points per game.
• Wilson also leads the team in total rebounds (34), while Jordan Brown leads the team in rebounds per game (6.6), assists (14) and steals (10). Amaia Parkins leads the team with seven blocks through the first six games of the season.

 
North Greenville Notes:

• North Greenville is 0-6 overall this season and has yet to play a conference game this year.
• The Crusaders are coming off an 80-53 loss to Emory & Henry last Tuesday. Three different players ended the game with double figures in the scoring column, Jayda Glass (13pts), Hannah Wiles (11pts), Mia Wysong (10pts).
• North Greenville is currently averaging 52.7 points per game, they are shooting .363 from the field, .266 from three-point range and .663 from the free throw line.
• The Crusaders are averaging 27.5 rebounds per game, 9.5 assists per game, 8.8 steals per game and 2.0 blocks per game.
• Glass leads the team in total points (83), points per game (13.8), total rebounds (25), rebounds per game (4.2), assists (18) and steals (14).
• Abi Oates is second on the team in points per game (7.0) and leads the team with 4 blocks on the season.

 
Half Time Presentation:
The 2021 Field Hockey team will be recognized at halftime of the Converse vs North Greenville women's game on Wednesday evening. The 2021 Field Hockey team was the first team in school history to win both a regular season and tournament championship in the same season. On Wednesday night the Valkyries Field Hockey team will be presented with their championship rings.
