HICKORY, N.C. – The Converse University women's basketball team fell to Lenoir-Rhyne 94-34 on Saturday afternoon in Shuford Memorial Arena.
With the loss the Valkyries fall to 0-6 overall on the season, while the Bears improve to 6-0 overall this year. Through the first three quarters of play the Valkyries were outscored 17-77, in the final quarter of action the Valkyries and the Bears each scored 17-points.
Sydney Wilson led the Valkyries with 16-points in the contest,
Alisa Davenport finished second on the team with 5-points and
Demya Chisholm finished with four points off the bench.
Jordan Brown led the team with 9-rebounds, while
Anna Cary and
Mary-Grace Durham each had 8-rebounds in the loss.
Next Up:
Converse will return home for their conference home opener against North Greenville University. Tip-off is slated for 5:00 p.m. inside the Weisiger Center.
