The Series
This will be the sixth all-time meeting between Converse and Mount Olive dating back to the 2019 field hockey season. Converse leads the all-time series 3-2 over the Trojans, but Mount Olive won the last meeting 2-1 in Mount Olive, N.C. The Trojans were also the last team to beat the Valkyries before their current 11-game winning streak started.
Â
Against Coker on Sunday this will be considered a non-conference matchup between the two teams. The Valkyries and the Cobras will be meeting for the ninth time on Sunday afternoon, with the Cobras holding a 6-2 advantage in the series. However, Converse has won the last two meetings against Coker dating back to last season. Converse will look to sweep the season series for the first time in program history, as the Valkyries have never won in Hartsville. Â Â Â Â
