This will be the first ever meeting between Converse University and Chowan University. This will be the Valkyries first home game since December 11
th.
Converse Notes:
- Converse is 4-7 overall and 3-4 in Conference Carolinas action this season.
- The Valkyries are coming off an exhibition loss to Winthrop on New Year's Eve. Jimmie Sanders III led the team with nine points, while Sigurd Lorange and Elijah Pitts each hauled in six rebounds against the Eagles.
- Lorange became the third Valkyrie turn earn Conference Carolinas Defensive Player of the Week Honors.
- The Valkyries are averaging 69.2 points per game and they are shooting 39 percent from the field. Converse is shooting 29 percent from beyond the arch and 74 percent from the free throw line.
- Converse is averaging 33.8 rebounds per game, 13.9 assists per game, 7.0 steals per game and 4.1 blocks per game.
- Lorange leads the team with 14.3 points per game and has a team best 18 steals. The native of Norway is second on the team with 31 assists this season. Sanders III is second on the team in points per game with 14.0, but leads the team with 50 assists.

- Chowan is 1-9 overall and 1-7 in Conference Carolinas action this season. The Hawks are 0-3 on the road this season.
- The Hawks are coming off a 99-79 loss to UNC Pembroke on Tuesday night in Pembroke, N.C.
- Christian Koonce scored 26-points off the bench and was a perfect 8-8 from the field to lead the Hawks in scoring against the Braves. Jay Estime finished second on the team with 16 total points.
- Chowan is averaging 70.6 points per game this season and they are shooting just over 41 percent from the field. From beyond the arch the Hawks are shooting 35 percent and at the Free Throw line they are shooting an even 63 percent.
- The Hawks are averaging 38.2 rebounds per game, 12.7 assists per game, 5.8 steals per game and 5.7 blocks per game.
