The Tournament:
For the second consecutive weekend the Converse University volleyball team is headed down to Aiken, S.C. to participate in the Pacer Invitational. The Valkyries will battle a pair of South Atlantic Conference schools on Friday afternoon and evening (Coker and Limestone). On Saturday the Valkyries will battle a pair of Peach Belt foes in Augusta and Lander University. Â

Converse Notes:
- As a team Converse is averaging 8.5 kills per set, 7.7 assists per set, 1.6 aces per set, 14.3 digs per set and 1.5 blocks per set.
- Kiara Cannon (Simpsonville, S.C.), Anna Rabon (Little River, S.C.) and Maddie Mount (Carrollton, Ga.) led the offensive attack last weekend. Rabon recorded a pair of double-doubles against Lincoln Memorial and Carson-Newman, while Cannon leads the team in total points (37.0) and total kills (33). Mount is currently hitting a team best .214.
- Freshman Madison Gregory (Inman, S.C.) leads the team with 66 total assists and is averaging 4.40 assists per set. Gregory also recorded a pair of double-doubles last weekend against Lincoln Memorial and Embry-Riddle. Savannah Ducote (Lexington, S.C.) is second on the team with 32 assists and is averaging 2.91 assists per game.
- Elizabeth Yohe (Summerville, S.C.) leads the team with 64 digs and is averaging 4.27 digs per set this season. Both Mount and Jasmine Finkley (Blythewood, S.C.) are tied for the team lead with 9 total blocks. Finkley has a team best 8 assisted blocks, while Mount leads the team with two solo blocks.

Coker Notes:
- The Cobras have played just one game so far this season and it was a 3-0 sweep to (RV) Wingate University.
- In the opening set Coker hung with Wingate before falling 25-22. The opening set was the only time the Cobras recorded a positive hitting percentage at .156.
- Emily Everton led the team with 6 kills and tied for the team lead with 7 digs in the match.
- Chelsey Blume and Naomi Earl-Reyes both tied with five kills each in the loss.
- Rami Mullen led the team with 12 assists in the contest, while Blume and Reyes each had block assist in the game.
Limestone Notes:
- The Saints have yet to play a game this season but finished 4-6 overall and 4-5 in South Atlantic Conference competition last year.
- Vanessa Blas led the team last season with 79 total kills and averaged 2.26 kills per set for the Saints. Blas, also, finished second on the team with 8 service aces in the COVID shortened season.
- Abbey Baker led the team with 241 assists and 9 service aces.
- Madeline Yeager led the team with 28 total blocks and Bailey Carpenter led the team with 177 digs.
Augusta Notes:
- Like Converse, Augusta University participated in the USC Aiken Invitational. Augusta finished with a 2-2 record with wins over North Greenville and Lincoln Memorial to end the tournament.
- Kylie Martin led the team 43.5 points last weekend and also recorded a team best 38 kills.
- Alyssa Dutton finished second on the team with 33 kills and averaged 2.20 kills per set.
- Samantha Zittrauer led the team 68 assists and averaged 4.53 assists per set over the four game tournament.
- Holland Martin recorded a team best 68 digs and averaged 4.53 digs per set. Chloe Allen led the team with 14 assisted blocks and 17 total blocks.
Lander Notes:
- The Bearcats went 2-2 at the Queens Fall Classic last weekend and is coming off a win over fellow Conference Carolinas member Erskine on Tuesday night.
- Lander is 2-0 against Conference Carolinas school this season and swept both Erskine and Lees-McRae over the past week.
- Christina Aguayo led the team with 90.5 points and averaged 4.76 points per set last week. Aguayo also recorded 81 kills and finished second on the team with 62 digs.
- Madilyn Reed currently leads the team 176 assists and has a team best 9 service aces.
- Patricia Pantoja leads the team with 98 digs and 5.16 digs per set. Daria De Carvalho Peixe leads the team with 15 blocks on the season.
