SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Converse University men's basketball team has added a game for this coming Saturday against USC Upstate.
 
Saturday's meeting will be the first ever competition between Converse University and USC Upstate in men's basketball. Saturday will also be the first regionally televised game that the Converse men's basketball program will be featured in. Tip-off is slated for a 4:00 p.m. start in the G.B. Hodge Center on the campus of USC Upstate.
 
Converse is 4-5 overall this season and 3-4 in Conference Carolinas action this season. The Valkyries will play their first ever Division I opponent tonight against Gardner-Webb. The Valkyries game against the Runnin' Bulldogs will be counted as an exhibition matchup. USC Upstate is 2-8 overall this year with wins over St. Andrews and South Carolina State.
 
If you are unable to make it to the game in person, fans will be able to watch the game on ESPN+ or on WYCW-TV and WMYT-TV in the Upstate Region.
