The Series:
This will be the first ever meeting between Converse University and Mount Olive on Tuesday evening at the Weisiger Center.
 
Converse Notes:

• Converse is 3-1 this season and 2-0 in Conference Carolinas action this season.
• Freshman center Earl Burgess III was named Conference Carolinas Defensive Player of the Week after a 10-point, 9-rebound and 5-block effort against the Flying Fleet.
• The last time the Valkyries stepped on the court they defeated Erskine 94-83. Sigurd Lorange led the team in scoring with 24-points on the night, while Jordan Warlick finished second on the team with 13-points. Jimmie Sanders III finished with 9-points and a game high 11-assists against the Flying Fleet.  
• The Valkyries are averaging 81.8 points per game this season and they are shooting nearly 46 percent from the field. Converse is shooting 32 percent from the three-point line and 75 percent from the free throw line.
• Converse is averaging 36.3 rebounds per game, 16.8 assists per game, 7.0 steals per game and 6.3 blocks per game.
• The Valkyries have three players averaging double-digits this season, Jimmie Sanders III (18.0 ppg), Sigurd Lorange (16.5 ppg) and Jordan Warlick (14.8 ppg).
• Sanders leads the team with 23 assists and Lorange leads the team with seven steals on the season.  
• Burgess III leads the team with 6.5 rebounds per game and Eli Pitts is second on the team with 5.5 rebounds per contest. Burgess III leads the nation with 17-total blocks and is averaging a national best 4.25 blocks per game.

• Mount Olive is 1-4 overall on the season and 0-1 in Conference Carolinas action.
• Tuesday night's game will be the Trojans first official road game of the season, they are currently 0-2 in games played away from Mount Olive.
• The Trojans are coming off an 84-74 home loss to Francis Marion on Tuesday evening.
• Alan Treakle and Matthias Caver tied for the team lead with 18-points in the loss. Caver ended the game with a double-double as he also collected 10-rebounds in the loss.
• This season the Trojans are averaging 78.2 points per game and they are shooting 42 percent from the field. From the three-point arch Mount Olive is currently shooting 29 percent and 77 percent from the free-throw line.
• Mount Olive is averaging 28.6 rebounds per game, 13.8 assists per game, 7.2 steals per game and 2.8 blocks per game this season.
• Treakle leads the team in scoring average this season at 20.6 points per game and also has a team high 25 total assists. Trayvon Ferrell is second on the team this season in scoring average with 10.2 points per contest.
• Javian Cannady leads the team with 8 steals, while Cole Johnson and Shakei Hines are tied for the team lead with four blocks.
