This will be the first ever meeting between Converse University and King University on Saturday afternoon. The Valkyries will be playing in their first ever Conference Carolinas matchup in program history.

- Converse is 1-1 this season with a win over Mars Hill and a loss to Wingate last time out.
- The Valkyries are averaging 78 points per game this season and they are shooting nearly 40 percent from the field. Converse is shooting 26 percent from the three-point line and 73 percent from the free throw line.
- Converse is averaging 40.0 rebounds per game, 14.5 assists per game, 8.0 steals per game and 7.0 blocks per game.
- The Valkyries have three players averaging double-digits this season, Jimmie Sanders III (23.5 ppg), Sigurd Lorange (17.0 ppg) and Jordan Warlick (13.5 ppg).

- Eli Pitts leads the team with 6.5 rebounds per game, while Earl Burgess leads the team with 7.0 blocks on the year. Defending Conference Carolinas Defensive Player of the Week Jay Mitchell will look to continue his hot start on the defensive side of the ball for the Valkyries.
King Notes:
- King is 2-0 on the season with wins over UVA Wise (95-77) and Carson-Newman (77-66) last weekend.
- This will be the Tornado's third consecutive game played away from Bristol this season. The Tornado start the year with seven straight games on the road or at a neutral site location.
- King is averaging 86.0 points per game this season and is shooting 47 percent from the field. The Tornado are shooting 45 percent from three-point range and 84 percent from the free throw line.
- King is averaging 41.5 rebounds per game, 15.5 assists per game, 12.0 steals per game and 1.5 blocks per game.
- Michael Mays leads the team with 21.0 points per game, Brandon Lamberth is second with 11.5 points per game and Darron Howard is contributing 10.5 points per game for the Tornado this season.
