The Series:
This will be the third meeting between Converse and Lincoln Memorial dating back to the 2011-2012 campaign. The Railsplitters are 2-0 against the Valkyries and won the last meeting 79-46.
This will be the 30
th meeting between Converse and Limestone dating back to the 2002 basketball season. The Saints hold a 25-4 series record over the Valkyries and have won 23 straight games against the Valkyries dating back to the 2009 season. The last time these two teams met Converse fell 80-60 on February 19, 2020.

Converse Notes:
- The Valkyries went 6-11 overall and 5-11 in Conference Carolinas play a season ago.
- Converse averaged 57.1 points per game and shot 36 percent from the field and 32 percent from beyond the arch. As a team the Valkyries made 66 percent of their free throws and hauled in 33 rebounds.
- The Valkyries averaged 9.4 assists per contest, 5.8 steals per game and 2.1 blocks per contest.
- Reigning Conference Carolinas Freshman of the Year Keyshuna Fair returns to the Valkyries for her sophomore season. Last year, Fair averaged 28.8 minutes per game and shot 38 percent from the field. The Palmetto State native averaged 12.6 points per contest and 6.2 rebounds per game.
- Junior Lindsey Hardin returns to the team and averaged 13.5 points per game last season. Hardin shot 40 percent from the floor and 41 percent from beyond the arch.
- Transfer center Sydney Wilson will look to make an immediate impact on the court this season. The junior is transferring in from Lenoir-Rhyne and is familiar with both Lincoln Memorial and Limestone from having played in the South Atlantic Conference the past two seasons.
Lincoln Memorial Notes:
- The Railsplitters went 11-11 last season and went 7-10 in South Atlantic Conference action.
- Lincoln Memorial was 5-4 in home games and 6-7 in matches played away from Tex Turner Arena.
- The Railsplitters averaged 67.0 points per game and shot 42 percent from the field and 36 percent from beyond the arch. As a team Lincoln Memorial shot 72 percent from the free throw line.
- Lincoln Memorial averaged 35 rebounds per game, 13.8 assists per game, 7.7 steals per game and just under a block per game.
- Lauren Flowers returns for her junior season after she led the team with 12.9 points per game. Flowers also led the team with 7.0 rebounds per game and made a team high 48 steals last season. Flowers shot 40 percent from the field and 36 percent from beyond the arch.
Limestone Notes:
- The Saints went 8-8 overall and 7-6 in South Atlantic Conference action last season.
- Limestone played great at home as they boasted a 7-2 overall record but, on the road, they finished with a 1-6 record.
- The Saints averaged 69.9 points per game last season and shot 38 percent from the field and 34 percent from three-point range. As a team they shot 67 percent from the free-throw line.
- Limestone averaged 37.3 rebounds, 13.6 assists per game, 9.0 steals per game and 2.4 blocks per contest.
- Last season, Limestone had three players averaging nearly 16.0 points per game. Quin Byrd (16.6 ppg), Reagan McCray (16.4 ppg) and Reagan Kargo (14.2 ppg).
