The Series
This is will be the ninth time Converse University and Newberry have played since the 2017 season. The Wolves hold a 7-1 advantage in the overall series and have won the last six games in the series dating back to an October 12
th meeting in 2017. Last time out, the Valkyries and the Wolves met in the first round of the playoffs with Newberry taking a 2-1 win in overtime over Converse. This will be the first time in three years that the Wolves have made a trip up to the Hub City.

For the second time in a one week time span the Valkyries and the Cobras of Coker will be meeting on the turf. Last Sunday, the Cobras snuck out a 2-1 overtime win in Hartsville and improved to 6-0 all-time against Converse. The last time these two squads met in Spartanburg, the Cobras won 2-1 in shootout against the Valkyries.

Converse Notes:
- The Valkyries are 3-4 overall this season and 3-2 in South Atlantic/Conference Carolinas play.
- Converse is coming off their first ever top-10 victory and first ever win over Limestone on Wednesday night.
- Freshman Lotte Kanters scored a pair of a goals in the win to lead the Valkyries offense over the Saints.
- The Valkyries are averaging 1.57 goals per game and averaging just under 12 shots per contest.
- Converse has attempted 39 corners this season and the Valkyrie goalkeepers have combined for 16 saves on the season.
- Mira Polzer leads the team this season in assists (5) and is second on the team in points (7) and total shots (15). Â
- Kanters now leads the team in goals scored (4), points (8) and total shots (18). Teana Maloney is second on the team in goals scored this season with two on the year.
- The Valkyries have had seven different goal scorers this season and five different players have attributed assists.
- Two-time player of the week Ciriaca Petitto has made a trio of starts in goal this season for the Valkyries. Petitto has made nine saves and has posted a .750 save percentage. Â

- Newberry is 4-4 overall this season and 1-3 in South Atlantic/Conference Carolinas action.
- The Wolves ended a three-game losing streak on Wednesday night with a home win over Queens.
- Lily Drury led the Wolves offensively with four total shots and three shots on goal Wednesday evening. Grace Lee stood strong in the goal for the Wolves and made 10 saves in 60 minutes of action.
- Newberry is averaging 2.25 goals per game this season and the Wolves are averaging an even 20.0 shots per game this season.
- Drury and Yasmin De Meyer led the Newberry offense with four goals each. Drury leads the team in total shots (33), shots on goal (23) and game-winners (2).
- Grace Lee has made seven starts in goal this season and has made 45 saves on 76 shots faced. Lee has also produced a trio of shutouts.
