Brianna James led the Valkyries with 14 points. Abigail Lewis chipped in with seven points. Keocia Walker grabbed six rebounds and dished out six assists.
Erin Horne scored six points and tallied a school record 138th steal with four swipes. Hannah Anderson grabbed seven boards.
HOW IT HAPPENED
1st Quarter
Brianna James put the Valkyries on the board for the early 3-2 lead with a trey. Emmanuel would regain the lead midway through the quarter after a 6-0 run. Brianna James ended the run with a deep jumper off the pass from Tatum Boggs.
Brianna James continued to score in the quarter with a 5-0 run to take the lead 10-9 after an old-fashioned three point play.
After an administrative technical, Keocia Walker connected on 1-2 from the charity stripe to give the Valkyries an 11-9 lead heading into the second quarter.
2nd Quarter
After a Keocia Walker steal, Erin Horne finished at the other end for the fast break layup. Tiffani Riggen connected on a triple to give the Valkyries their largest lead of the contest 16-11 with 8:26 left in the quarter.
Erin Horne swiped her career leading 138th steal at the 7:31 mark of the quarter.
Emmanuel would go on a 9-0 run to take the lead for good leading 20-16 with 5:27 left in the half forcing a timeout.
Out of the timeout, Tatum Boggs drained a three to cut it to a one-point contest, 20-19. Emmanuel continued to push the lead the remainder of the quarter on an 11-2 run. Abigail Lewis posted the lone bucket during the stretch.
Christian Thompson heaved a half-court shot at the buzzer and banked it in to end the half. Converse trailed 31-24 at the break.
3rd Quarter
Emmanuel extended their lead out to 15, 47-32, before Converse was able to chip away at the deficit. Abigail Lewis went 3-4 from the stripe and a Brianna James jumper cut it to a ten point contest heading into the final stanza.
4th Quarter
Erin Horne knocked down two freebies followed by an Abigail Lewis jumper and a Horne layup cut the deficit to single digits.
Another 8-0 run pushed the Emmanuel lead back to double-digits. Keocia Walker finished the old-fashioned three point play to end the run.
Keocia Walker hit a jumper on the fast break before back-to-back threes by Emmanuel pushed their lead back out to 17, 66-49.
