SPARTANBURG, S.C.- The Converse Volleyball team dropped a Conference Carolinas match in straight sets to Barton on Alumni Appreciation day on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED

1st Set

• Barton started off the set jumping out to an early 10-1.  Leslie Gonzalez would stop the run with a kill.
• Converse started to rally cutting the deficit down to 13-6 after a kill by Deanna Unger.
• The Bulldogs pushed their lead back out to 16-6 before Converse rallied to make it 19-14.
• Barton would score the final six points to take the set 25-17.

2nd Set

• Converse was unable to find their offense in the set falling behind 22-3 and took the set 25-10.

3rd Set

• Converse and Barton exchanged points for the first half of the set knotting this up at 10-all.
• Barton would go on a 10-2 run to take the lead 20-12.
• Leslie Gonzalez would end the run with a two kills.
• Barton took the set and the match 25-17.
