ST. AUGUSTINE'S, FLA.- Converse Volleyball opened up the 2015 campaign on the losing end after dropping the opening match of the Flagler Invitational to the host team Flagler 3-0 (25-7, 25-8, 25-17).  Converse falls to 1-0 on the early season, while Flagler opens the season 1-1.

Katie Butler (Savannah, Ga.), Cayla Wood (Asheville, N.C.) and JaLesa Beaver (Katy, Texas) led the team offensively with three kills apiece.  Beaver added three service aces and a solo block.

Krislyn Moore (Spartanburg, S.C.) lef the team with 11 assists.  Madeline Pate (Cassatt, S.C.) led the team with nine digs, while C. Wood added five.

The Valkyries will look to rebound tomorrow morning in the final day of the tournament as the team plays Anderson at 10am and wraps up the tournament with Dominican (N.Y.) at 4:30 pm.
