GREENWOOD, S.C.- Converse dropped a non-conference match to Lander on Tuesday evening in straight sets, 3-0 (25-20, 25-22, 25-18).  Converse falls to 3-9 on the season, while Lander improves to 12-3.

Katie Butler (Savannah, Ga.) led the Valkyries with eight kills while adding eight digs.  Butler posted her 142nd career service ace.  Butler's service ace gives her the all-time Aces mark in Valkyries history.

Krislyn Moore (Spartanburg, S.C.) and Journee English posted double-digit digs in the loss with 15 and 13 respectively.  English added five kills.

JaLesa Beaver (Katy, Texas) tallied seven kills on the night to go with two solo blocks and an assisted block.  Aeriel Wheeler (Woodruff, S.C.) netted six kills.

Jordan Robertson (Greenville, S.C.) posted 25 assists and seven digs.

Converse battled in the first set posting ten kills in the set and only two errors.  The Valkyries fell short in the second set 25-22 despite posting a negative hitting percentage.

Converse steps back into Conference Carolinas play with a weekend trip to North Greenville (Oct. 2) and Southern Wesleyan (Oct. 3).
