CENTRAL, S.C.- Converse dropped a Conference Carolinas match-up on Saturday afternoon to Conference Carolinas leading Southern Wesleyan in straight sets (10-25, 10-25, 15-25).  Converse falls to 3-11 on the season and 0-7 in league play.

Senior Katie Butler (Savannah, Ga.) posted three service aces in the match to take sole possession of the all-time service aces record in Converse history.  Butler has 145 career service aces.

Converse's offense was absent against SWU (12-4, 7-0) posting only 19 kills on the afternoon.  JaLesa Beaver (Katy, Texas) and Cayla Wood (Asheville, N.C.) led the offensive attack with five kills apiece.  

Journee English (Columbia, S.C.) posted three kills and eight digs.  Aeriel Wheeler (Woodruff, S.C.) posted four kills.

Converse returns home as they Valkyries host non-conference foe Coker for Faculty/Staff appreciation night on Tuesday, October 6 at 7pm.
