Box Score SPARTANBURG, S.C.- The result was not what the Valkyries had envisioned against Limestone but the outcome of Dig For A Cure was the ultimate goal. Converse dropped the Conference Carolinas match to Limestone in straight sets on Saturday afternoon, 25-8, 25-15, 25-15.
Converse (3-18, 0-12) could not find the attacking rhythm in the match only collecting 22 kills. The Valkyries were led by senior Katie Butler (Savannah, Ga.) and junior Aeriel Wheeler (Woodruff, S.C.) with five kills each. Makaylah Plemmons (Union County, S.C.) chipped in with four.
The Valkyries had 29 digs in the match with Cayla Wood (Asheville, N.C.) and JaLesa Beaver (Katy, Texas) recording five each. Plemmons and Krislyn Moore (Spartanburg, S.C.) added four apiece.
Converse returns to the court on Tuesday, October 27 at 6pm against Shaw in a non-conference match.
