Miscues Doom Valkyries Against Flying Fleet

DUE WEST, S.C.- Attacking errors and several other miscues doom the Valkyries and remain winless in Conference Carolinas play on Friday night.  Erskine defeats Converse in straight sets handing the Valkyries their fifth straight defeat, 25-15, 25-18, 25-17.  Erskine improves to 7-5 (3-0 CC), while Converse drops to 6-9 overall and 0-3 in league play.

Katie Butler (Savannah, Ga.) led the Valkyries with 12 kills despite hitting .147.  There were only three Valkyries that recorded a positive hitting percentage.  Scottie Kay Auton (Gaffney, S.C.) led the team with a .235 hitting percentage and tallied six kills.  Candace Clack (MacClenny, Fla.) finished with a .200 hitting percentage.

Aubrey Crosby (Spartanburg, S.C.) continued to lead the team with 20 digs, upping her tally to 221 on the season.

Converse hit a combined .115 while tallying 17 attacking errors and eight service errors.

The Valkyries will look to get things back on track as they square off with Emmanuel in a Conference Carolinas match.
