SPARTANBURG, S.C.- Despite a match-high 14 kills by Katie Butler, the Valkyries could not fend off the Lions of Emmanuel on Saturday afternoon.  Converse dropped the match 19-25, 20-25, 18-25 and fell to 7-17 on the season and dropped to 1-10 in Conference Carolinas play.  Emmanuel improved to 11-12 and 4-8 in league play.

Katie Butler (Savannah, Ga.) led the team with 14 kills and three service aces.  Butler produced six kills in both the first and second sets.  Samantha Haynes (Chesnee, S.C.) tallied five kills in the match with teammates Journee English (Columbia, S.C.) and Scottie Kay Auton (Gaffney, S.C.) picking up four apiece.

Aubrey Crosby (Spartanburg, S.C.) recorded 27 digs on the afternoon to up her average to five digs per set.  Crosby continues to lead the conference in digs with a total of 420.

Jordan Robertson (Greenville, S.C.) finished the match dishing out 26 assists.

Emmanuel produced 15.0 team blocks on the afternoon, while Converse tallied 3.0 team blocks.

Converse continues its home stand to end the season taking on North Greenville, Tuesday, Oct. 28 at 7pm.
